Friends,
I’m excited to announce the Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge is hosting a free concert to benefit the St. Luke’s Rebuilding Fund on Sunday, November 3 at 3 p.m. at University United Methodist Church, 3350 Dalrymple Drive.
Built on the theme “Surely it is God who saves me”, the program will include selections by the Children’s and Youth Choirs from University Methodist, the Youth Dance Ministry from Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, and Belles et Beaux, the handbell ensemble from Broadmoor Baptist Church.
Also, of special note will be Dan Forrest’s Te Deum performed by the Adult Choirs of Broadmoor Baptist, Broadmoor United Methodist, St. Luke’s Episcopal, and University United Methodist accompanied by a chamber orchestra and conducted by special guest, Dr. Alissa Rowe, Director of Choral Studies at LSU.
Hymns will provide an opportunity to sing together and the concert will end with all in attendance singing The First Song of Isaiah by Jack Noble White.
Laurence Hebert and Geoffrey Stemen will serve as keyboardists for the afternoon.
A love offering will be accepted to support the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Fire Fund.
I hope your schedule will permit you to join us for this free concert on Sunday, November 3 at 3:00pm.
